FF–: THE NEW CORPUS FORMAT FOR EMERGING ARTISTS
FF–: INTRO
Future is what one creates out of the present. Therefore, a working field for tomorrow needs to be provided in the permanent becoming of now. This is done by our medial Future Field for contemporary dance as a special area on corpus. It is intended for all those who today do future-oriented work for artistic discourse in and with our societies, but especially for "emerging artists" in the field of advancied choreography. People who recently have begun to design their artistic biographies, who try to get a larger audience for their proposals and take great risks – in spite of the scant chance of ever being able to lead an orderly, prosperous and secure life with their work.
Future Field is no letting agency for a neoliberal dance market but rather an open communication area especially for young, engaged dance that loves to explore, as well as for new, resistant choreographic performances which often have a hard time presenting themselves in an international art world suffering from increasing quota pressure. For corpus, Future Field is an important medial experimentation field made possible by the support of the Kulturamt der Stadt Wien/MA7 and which, like corpus in general, has no journalistic antetypes.
The corpus Future Field is subdivided into five areas which comprise the artistic communication process in as many dimensions:

FF–: SPACE STATION
Young artists present themselves and their artistic strategies in concise "artists’ profiles". corpus refrains from standardising the profiles gathered in Space Station – they are designed by the artists themselves, and accumulate to a live information pool for all those who are interested in what "emerging artists" today are building on. FF–: FIRST RESIDENCIES
As a place for artistic practice in the framework of a website, First Residencies offers budding choreographers and dancers the opportunity to realise a process-oriented, artistic-medial project on corpus over a period of two months. After the residencies' conclusion, the works remain visible so that by and by they become a virtual exhibition of young choreographic art. CLICK HERE

FF–: NEW REFLECTORY
"Critique" or "analysis" or "review" or "reflection"? In New Reflectory young authors investigate young artists' works but also those of established creative artists. Futhermore, established authors explicitly deal with the works of "emerging artists". And young artists get a chance to develop their own perspective of art reflection. CLICK HERE

FF–: IN FOCUS
This information and diskourse pool takes up current issues directly associated with young art, result from the professional practice of artists and illuminate their real living conditions. In Focus is a "reality display" for choreographers, dancers and all those directly or indirectly involved in the communication spaces of art. CLICK HERE

FF–: RESEARCH FACTORY
Artists and theoreticians in training do research and write treatises which after their approbation are often left to gather dust in the training institutions' archives. The Research Factory of Future Field provides these works fully or in excerpts because the corpus editors believe that in them the future of theoretical practice in dance becomes manifest. CLICK HERE
